Special Exhibition "Rekihaku Colorful

A wide variety of materials from the Rekihaku collection, from architectural models to meteoric swords
Colors ・ Tints ・ Anthology of Forms

This exhibition was planned as an exhibition of materials from the museum collection with "color" as its theme. We have taken the word "color" in its broadest sense, and considered not only "colors" such as red ， yellow ， blue … but also "luster," which is created by the texture and fine structure of materials, and "form," which is created by the combination of these.
The exhibition will feature materials from the museum collection with characteristic "color ・ luster ・ form", and will provide explanations from the viewpoints of history ・ archaeology ・ folklore ・ natural science ・ and consider the relationship between color and human beings in Japan. We would like to draw out various views of the museum collection from the keyword "color", such as color as a symbol of authority or fear, or color as a craft produced by artisans ….
