The city has opened the following facilities as evacuation centers.

Toyama District Toyama Gakuen
Miyoshi District Miyoshi Rural Environment Improvement Center
Shirahama District Shirahama Community Center
Chikura District Chikura Children's School
Chikura Elementary School
Maruyama District Maruyama Community Center
Wada District Wada Community Center

In addition, Chikura Sports Park is closed.
