In April, we will screen "In Search of Silence － Healing Silence －", which is perfect for the forest bathing season.

In fact, noise is a serious pollution problem of our time. They say that our mind and body are exposed to risks without our knowledge. In this issue, we will focus on sounds such as silence, music, and noise, and hope to inspire you to explore ways we can all live healthy lives. After viewing the film, we will have a dialogue session （ for those who wish ・ to share their thoughts ） for about 20 minutes.

From noise To escape, Greg ・ Hindi took a vow of silence for a year, until his 23rd birthday, and crossed the American continent on foot without uttering a word. Composer John ・ Cage's highly original, unperformed piece "4 minutes and 33 seconds," which opened up new horizons in music, brought a whole new experience of listening to and watching "nothingness" other than performance, giving a quiet place to a mind that is always in turmoil.

Professor Yoshifumi Miyazaki of Japan confirmed in joint research with university medical schools and others that forest bathing relaxes city dwellers, reduces stress, and improves their lowered immune function. With the need for silence rapidly increasing, "In Search of Silence" is a documentary that explores ways to live healthily in this 21st century, where we live surrounded by all kinds of sound, focusing on silence, music, noise, and other sounds.
