2/15(Sat.) "Kanta ！ Timor" Screening @ Minami-Boso, Chiba, Japan

Screenings of this "Kanta ！ Timor" will be held in various places in Japan on February 15(土) at 13:00.
Kaori Kusunoki has asked us to organize a screening at boccs as well.

Introduction
"Hey friends, hey adults, the earth knows our mistakes"
The setting is Timor-Leste, an island of gods in the South Sea, which gained independence from Indonesia in 2002.
The tragedy that struck the island and the miracle of the people who survived. The images of these people cast a ray of hope to the world.
The director, Natsuko Hirota, who was 23 years old at the time, learns the local language while living with the people, and comes to understand the true meaning behind their songs.
Then she meets a gaze that glows with light. And then, she encounters a gaze that glows with light, and words that are woven together like poetry.
This is the first feature-length film in Japan about the struggle in East Timor, which has gone largely unreported despite the deep involvement of Japanese people.
Though an independent film, it has transcended national borders and has been shown in more than 100 previews in five countries, shaking the hearts of audiences.

*There is also a free municipal parking lot on the north side of Iwai station （ left toward the entrance ・ toward Awa Katsuyama ）.
